The British Violin Making Association was founded in 1995 to promote fellowship between those who have an interest in the history and the craft of violin and bow making. We welcome professional and amateur violin makers and restorers alike, as well as all those who share an interest in the subject and the craft. Although we are the British Violin Making Association, we welcome members from around the world. 

Benefits of joining include a quarterly magazine, access to our events and conferences, and the opportunity to exhibit at our annual Makers’ Day exhibition in London. If you are a supporter of our aims, but do not believe that full membership is for you, please consider joining our association as a friend.

To streamline our membership process, all of our subscriptions are via debit or credit card only, and for your convenience and ours, are set up to take recurring payments each year. You will be notified each year by email well in advance of the payment being taken, and we will also let you know if your card is about to reach its expiry date.
