Dear Participant,

Iris Carr is a violin restorer specialising in major restorations of violins, violas and cellos.

Her Retouching Course covers all aspects, from completed woodwork to finishing the varnish, including the treatment and staining of wood, filling cracks and joints, creating texture, retouching and patina.

Participants bring their own projects with them and Iris will be demonstrating her methods on their instruments.

There will be 6 participants in total, the course fee is £900 for single non ensuite and  £950 for single ensuite. As the college only has 10 rooms your first choice may not be available. 

The fee will include all meals and accommodation. The Evening meals will be in pubs within 20 mins of the college and there will be a question on the sign up form to see if anyone arriving by car will be willing to help with driving.
